The goal of the Global Impunity Index (GII) is to make visible, in quantitative terms, the impunity worldwide and its direct effect in other global issues such as inequality, corruption, and violence. The GII is the most important international academic effort to measure impunity levels worldwide through a quantitative methodology based on the analysis of the security and justice systems of countries, as well as in the measurement of countries’ respect of human rights.
